PURPOSE: To make the tilting angle position of a reflector detectable in a highly accurate manner by reforming an optical adjusting device for a headlight, consisting in such a construction as making a drive rod travel forward or backward in the longitudinal direction as in the illustration by a motor set up in a casing of an optical axis adjusting unit and simultaneously tilting this reflector. CONSTITUTION: A position sensor 12 consists of a stationary plate 12b and a mover 12a. This stationary plate 12b is stationarily attached to a casing 9a via a circuit board 9g. The mover 12a is attached to a bracket 9d1 integrally formed in a drive rod 9d. With this constitution, both forward and backward positions of this drive rod 9d is detected by the position sensor 12 in a highly accurate manner. |
