<p>PURPOSE: To simplify a conventional method for producing a magnetic card and to obtain a low-cost magnetic card having stable quality with high productivity by adopting a single kind of sheet forming a magnetic card and omitting a hot pressing process. CONSTITUTION: A releasable thermoplastic resin film 1 having releasing effect on at least one face is prepd. and a protective layer 3 for protecting a pattern or letter printed layer 4 necessary for a magnetic card, the printed layer 4, a hiding layer 5 for hiding the color of a magnetic recording layer 6 and the recording layer 6 are successively laminated on the face of the film 1 having releasing effect to obtain a transfer film 10. Both the entire faces of a thermoplastic resin substrate of >=0.6mm thickness are stuck to the recording layer side of the transfer film 10 and the releasable film 1 is peeled off. The magnetic recording layer 6, the hiding layer 5, the printed layer 4 and the protective layer 3 are transferred to both entire faces of the substrate. Blanking to prescribed dimensions of a magnetic card is then carried out.</p> |
