PURPOSE: To carry on a transaction with a new bankbook by issuing the new bankbook by a new bankbook issuing means once a normal data detecting means detects abnormality of bankbook data. CONSTITUTION: In case of a defect in writing magnetic data, the reason for reissue and its inquiry are displayed and guided on a CRT; when the customer admits and confirms the reissue, the new bankbook is issued by a front bankbook issue part 23 or rear bankbook issue part 27 and necessary data are printed thereupon to carry on the transaction of the customer. When a CPU 31 requests to reissue the bankbook, the data of the current bankbook which caused the defect in magnetic writing are erased and the CPU 31 starts issuing the new bankbook. The new bankbook is fed out of the issue-specified front bankbook issue part 23 or rear bankbook issue part 27, a print part 25 prints the final transaction data and balance data of the current bankbook in the print fields of the fed new bankbook, and a magnetic data processing part 28 magnetically writes magnetic data on the magnetic stripe of the bankbook and reads them for confirmation. |
