PURPOSE: To maintain the conventional operating property in a front operation or other compound operations, and to realize a smooth stopping in a running independent operation. CONSTITUTION: In an operating condition other than a running independent condition, a control unit 7 operates the deflectionΔ(ΔP) between an LS differential pressureΔP detected by a differential pressure detector 5 and an object differential pressureΔP0 . From this deflectionΔ(ΔP), a swash plate object positionθ0 is operated, and a swash plate 1a is driven to come to the swash plate object positionθ0 , so as to control the discharge amount of a hydraulic pump 1. In the running independent operation condition, the control unit 7 operates the sum (total pilot pressure PL) of pilot pressures PL1 and PL2 detected by pilot pressure detectors 12a and 12b, operates the swash plate object positionθ0 from the total pilot pressure PL, and drives the swash plate 1a to come to the object swash plate positionθ0 so as to control the discharge amount of the hydraulic pump 1.
