PURPOSE: To efficiently transfer a coloring material on a transfer film to each substrate without causing defects when a color filter is produced by a film transfer method. CONSTITUTION: Transfer devices 1, 2, 3 each equipped with a supply part to supply a transfer film comprising a coloring material formed on a supporting film, a transfer part to transfer the coloring material from the transfer film to a substrate, and a discharging part to discharge the supporting film after transfer are arranged in the same number as the number of colors of the color filter. The processes to supply the transfer film, to transfer the coloring material to the substrate, to discharge the supporting film after transfer, etc., are continuously and repeatedly performed for plural number of coloring materials. When a coloring material is transferred as a solid, the transfer temp. in the transfer part of a transfer device of each color may be controlled to successively increase in order of arranged devices. It is preferable to provide each device with an inspection part for the transfer film before the transfer part. |
