PURPOSE: To easily produce a highly accurate color filter by forming specified plural photopolymerizable compsn. layers on a transparent substrate, exposing these layers with different light quantities in plural steps, and developing the layers plural times. CONSTITUTION: A photopolymerizable compsn. layer containing a red color material and sensitive for light of <400nm wavelength is formed on a transparent substrate and exposed to light in three steps of different light quantities for patterning. Then the layer is developed under such conditions that the area with the min. exposure light quantity is dissolved to form a first photopolymerized layer. Then a layer containing a green color material and sensitive for light of 400 to 500nm wavelength is formed on the first photopolymerized layer, wholly exposed and hardened to form a second photopolymerized layer and developed with an alkali to remove the unhardened layer. Further, during developing or after developing, the area in the first photopolymerized layer having the second smallest light quantity is removed by development. Then a third photopolymerizable compsn. layer containing a blue color material is formed on the first and second photopolymerized layer. Then the third layer is wholly exposed to light and an unhardened layer is dissolved and removed. |
