PURPOSE: To obtain a heat exchange unit with a bound part of a casing body less apt to be damaged by providing a junction rib on the rear side of a side panel to make the lower end of a guide rib almost match the lower end of a fitting rib while a protruding dimension of the guide rib from the rear thereof is set larger than the protruding dimension of the fitting rib. CONSTITUTION: In an outdoor unit 1, a casing body is constituted of a metal top board 2, a metal rear plate 3 integrated with a side plate part 3A, a front plate 4 made of a synthetic resin and a metal bottom plate 5. A lower end part of a rib 4A is placed at the tip of a rising part 5A in the perimeter of a bottom plate 5 and the rising part 5A on the center side is fitted into a fitting part 4J of a fitting rib 4D. The fitting rib 4D extends askew downward from the rear 4K of the front plate 4 and a guide rib 4D is provided to link a surface opposite to the internal surface of the fitting rib to the rear 4K. The lower end of a guide rib 4E is made almost to match the lower end of the fitting rib 4D and the protruding dimension of the guide rib 4E from the rear K is set larger than the protruding dimension of the fitting rib 4D. |
