<p>PURPOSE: To sufficiently prevent the lowering of adsorptive performance of an adsorbent by preventing pressure (temperature) rise of an adsorption chamber at the initial stage of an adsorption process. CONSTITUTION: In a device, air is brought into contact with an adsorbent 29 whose adsorptive performance is lowered by temperature rise at a prescribed pressure by compression force of the 1st piston 6, thereby nitrogen in the air is adsorbed on the adsorbent 29 to separate the air into oxygen and nitrogen. The device has an adsorption chamber 30 for housing the adsorbent 29 and a cylinder chamber 5 whose volume is increased and decreased by the 1st piston 6. Between the adsorptive chamber 30 and the cylinder chamber 5, a double action valve 22 which is opened when the pressure of the cylinder chamber 5 is raised to a prescribed one or more by the 1st piston 6 is installed.</p> |
