PURPOSE: To inhibit the behavior change of an automobile by controlling drive power applied to the other drive wheel when either one of left and right wheel drive power stops due to a failure while turning. CONSTITUTION: When a drive source monitoring part 7b detects the drive disable of either left and right drive motors 3R and 3L for front wheel, a failure drive source judgment part 7c judges whether the drive disable occurred at the outer- wheel side in turn direction or the inner-wheel side in turn direction based on the turn direction which is judged by a turn direction judgment part 7a. Then, when an electric motor 3R judges drive disable as the outer-wheel side drive source in turn direction, the supply power for the electric motor 3L at the inner-wheel side in turn direction is gradually reduced, the electric motor 3L is stopped in a specific amount of time, and at the same time the power supply to the electric motor 3R is instantly stopped. Also, it similarly applies when the electric motor 3R at the opposite inner-wheel side in turn direction cannot be driven, thus inhibiting the behavior of the automobile and improving safety. |
