PURPOSE: To obtain a cold-rolled stainless steel belt-like sheet, etc., which is smooth, has gloss regardless of metallic materials and has satin patterned surfaces by subjecting the belt-like sheet to a shot removal treatment of scale, then to brush-polishing or ultrasonic cleaning treatment and further dilute acid treatment. CONSTITUTION: The downstream side of the hot-rolled belt-like sheet 2 let off from a sheet letting-off member 1 is provided with an elongating roller leveling device 3, a scale shot removing device 4 and a brush-polishing device 5 to break the scale formed on the sheet.
