PURPOSE: To easily recognize the view direction of a medical image which is displayed in three dimensions by displaying a dummy human body image indicating the view direction of a three-dimensional image on the three- dimensional image. CONSTITUTION: A dummy human body image memory 3 is stored with the three-dimensional image of a dummy human body and when a body to be inspected is photographed, its image is stored in the three-dimensional image memory 1. The image information is already known from an X-ray tube position at the time of CT scanning, so a view direction setting part 2 uses this information to make it correspond to the three-dimensional image in the dummy image memory 3 so that they match each other. This is the reference of the view direction of the both. When an input for changing the view direction is set by the view direction setting part 2 over a look at the monitor 7, the three- dimensional image from this direction is generated by a 1st image generation part 4 and a dummy image is generated by a 2nd image formation part 5. On a spatial memory 6, an image is composed of the three-dimensional images generated by the image formation parts 4 and 5 and the generated image is displayed on the monitor 7. |
