PURPOSE: To improve a spatial resolution, etc., by finding view data at plural positions across slice positions from row data gathered by helical scanning and calculating equivalent view data at the slice positions from them according to a specific kernel function. CONSTITUTION: A slice position Lo where an image desires to be obtained and slice width (e) are specified and overlap slice positions L<-> M-LM are determined before and behind the slice position Lo at intervals (e). Then view data at an overlap slice position Lm is calculated through interpolative arithmetic from the row data. Then equivalent video data at the slice position Lo is calculated from the kernel function. Then reconstitution arithmetic is performed with the equivalent view data and an image x(Lo) is generated. This image x(Lo) corresponds to the image of a slice of slice width (e) at the slice position Lo. |
