PURPOSE: To provide a packaging material which uses less materials, is lightweight, provides satisfactory ventilation, and exhibits excellent cushioning performance, especially to strong impact, compared to hammock packing using a conventional film, by putting a cushion onto the bottom of a box opposite a film, and by stretching the film without covering the entire opening so that air freely moves inside and outside the film. CONSTITUTION: Boxes 11 and 12 take the form of a C type, and to the face of the box 11, usually called the cover of the C type box, opposite its opening, a cushion 16 is stuck. Also across the opening of the box 12, usually serving as the bottom of the C type box, a film 14 is stretched. An item 15 to be packed is placed on the cushion 16 of the box 11, the box 12 is inserted into the box 11 from above and, with the boxes pressed to each other, a sleeve 13 is then fitted on them. Because the boxes 11 and 12 are fixed from outside by the sleeve 13, the item 15 is pressed by the restoring force of the film 14 stretched over the cushion 16, and is so fixed in position by the film 14 as to be prevented from being displaced in the pack. This makes it possible to reduce the amount of the cushion 16 to the smallest amount necessary. |
