PURPOSE: To realize the multi-value QAM demodulator in which a clock of a modulation signal is recovered through the use of a memory of a small capacity through simple arithmetic operation. CONSTITUTION: A clock signal of a multi-value QAM signal is recovered by providing an amplitude information extracting means 10 extracting a change point of amplitude from amplitude information of a multi-value QAM modulation signal and a clock generating circuit 8 deciding a head position of the clock based on a change point of the amplitude detected by the amplitude information extract means 10 to trigger the clock to the multi-value QAM demodulator. |
