PURPOSE: To reduce the number of composing members required for image formation and to reduce a size and cost of the device. CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a doctor blade 4 for regulating an amount of toner on a toner carrier 3, which is in contact with the frictionally electrified toner 1 in a toner storage tank 2 and holds the toner 1 on it. A voltage for selectively electrifying the toner 1 is supplied to the doctor blade 4 via an electrification control unit 10. Thus, the amount of the toner 1 held on the toner carrier 3 is regulated and, at the same time, the toner 1 is electrified to a specific polarity with potential which is higher than or equal to the frictional electrification. An electrostatic latent image is formed from the selectively electrified toner 1, and the image is transferred onto properly-carried foam 5 by causing the toner 1 to fly by means of electric field generated by a voltage applied by an opposite electrode 6 arranged opposite the toner carrier 3. Thus, the image by the toner 1 is formed on the foam 5. |
