The equipment incorporates a conveyor device (30,14) for a front-side foil sheet (1) and a similar device (15) for a rear-side foil sheet (12). It also has a device (8) for production of an insertion opening through the front-side foil sheet. Yet a further conveyor device (27) is provided for a closure foil sheet (2). A first sealing device (9) seals the closure foil strip with the inside of the front-side foil sheet around the insertion opening. A second sealing device (21) seals the front-side foil sheet and the rear-side foil sheet at least partly along the side edges of the drink container being produced, enclosing the closure foil strip.
