<p>A device for terminating or splicing at least two tubes (12, 13) carrying optical fibres (14, 15) surrounded by reinforcing fibres (17), which device comprises first (1) and second parts (3) which can be secured together during the termination or splicing such that a portion of an optical fibre within each tube extends through aligned apertures in the parts, and such that the reinforcing fibres of each of the tubes are gripped between the secured parts.</p> |
