<p>PURPOSE: To provide an access control system of a radio LAN which utilizes a LAN controller that is used in a wire LAN to perform the general-purpose back-off processing and the access control of a CSMA system. CONSTITUTION: This control system consists of a CPU 1, a radio modem 5, a LAN controller 3 which contains a CSMA/CD circuit that carries out the access control for a wire LAN and controls the CPU 1 and the modem 5, and a radio LAN access control part 4 which performs an access of a radio LAN by making use of the characteristic of the CSMA/CD circuit. The part 4 includes a delay timer which detects the timing when all transmitting operations are carried out at a time within a fixed time after no data exist any more, a back- off timer which decides a transmission start time to evade the collision of transmission, and a transmission permitting part which permits the transmission based on the timing set by the delay timer and the transmission start time set by the back-off timer and also discontinues the transmission if it is not permitted.</p> |
