<p>PURPOSE: To provide a simple process for production using an inexpensive apparatus for production by depositing liquid contg. metal elements on a substrate, then shaping and working deposits contg. the metal elements by irradiation with a laser, removing the components exclusive of the metal elements to form metallic films, thereby forming an electrode pair. CONSTITUTION: This process for producing the surface conduction type electron releasing element has a stage for forming at least a pair of the electrodes 2, 3 on the substrate 1, forming a conductive thin film 4 between these electrodes and forming an electron releasing part 5 at the thin film 4. The formation of a pair of the electrodes 2, 3 is executed in the following manner: The liquid contg. the metal elements is deposited on the substrate 1 and thereafter the deposits contg. the metal elements are shaped and worked by the irradiation with the laser. The components exclusive of the metal elements are removed to form the metal films. General conductors are used as the material of the element electrodes 2, 3; such conductors include printed conductors, etc., composed of metals, such as Ni, Cr and Au, or their alloys, and metals or metal oxides, such a Pd, Ag and Au, and glass, etc.</p> |
