PURPOSE: To extract and display the object part while holding three dimensional image by inputting original three-dimensional image data and also reading in data on a background image, and calculating the difference between the original three-dimensional image data and background image data. CONSTITUTION: The three-dimensional image data are inputted (A) and then processed by a maximum value projection method to display three dimensional data as an MIP image (B). Then one or plural object parts are specified by regarding the MIP image as a reference image and images of the object parts are erased (C); and an MIP image after the images of the designated object parts are erased is displayed (D) and then it is judged whether or not there are object parts left in the MIP image (E). The steps C, D, and E are repeated in order to erase all object parts, and the obtained image is stored as the background image in a storage device (F); and then the difference between the data on the original three-dimensional image and data on the background image is calculated (G) and only an image of the object part is extracted and displayed (H). |
