PURPOSE: To achieve an economical effect such as the reduction in personal expenses by contributing to the automation of water quality control by image analysis. CONSTITUTION: The water quality control system is provided with an image pick-up part 12 for picking up image including particles under water, an image processing part 9 for obtaining the type and amount of particles by analyzing image picked up by the image pick-up part, and a system control part 15 for controlling a system to be controlled of a water control facility based on the image analysis result of the image processing part. The image processing part judges whether a particle is inside or outside the depth of focusΔ1 of a lens, depending on whether the formed image of the particle in the image from the image pick-up part is within a specific gradation range or not, and obtains the type and amount of the particle based on the particle within the depth of the focus of the lens.
