PURPOSE: To obtain a 2-way multiplex wavelength demultiplex circuit with excellent crosstalk and isolation characteristic and to obtain a multiplex wavelength demultiplex circuit with a flat characteristic through the combination of erbium doped fibers. CONSTITUTION: This circuit is provided with a 1st Michelson interferometer comprising a 1st coupler 1, a 1st Bragg grating 3a and a 2nd Bragg grating 3b when viewing from a 1st optical path 8, and a 2nd Michelson interferometer comprising a 2nd coupler 3, a 3rd Bragg grating 4a and a 4th Bragg grating 4b. The two interferometers are combined opposite to each other in the 2nd optical path. A reflected wavelength matches that of a reception light in the Bragg grating and the received light enters the 1st interferometer from an input terminal. |
