PURPOSE: To extremely easily and smoothly execute geographical feature change simulation where designated change height is satisfied by a form based on present geographical features while monitoring the existing present geographical features. CONSTITUTION: By a geographical feature change simulation method, numerical altitude model data and photograph map data of the present geographical features adding a change object area to be the object of geographical feature change are generated and stored, a photograph map is displayed through the use of photograph map data, points connecting a boundary line which indicates the change object area are indicated on the displayed photograph map, a change designating point designating an altitude value after change in the change object area is indicated, a calculating expression indicating the change method is selected, the surface parameter of the calculating expression is calculated from the selected calculating expression and the indicated change designating point, the altitude value after change is obtained as to whole required points in the change object area from the selected calculating expression and the calculated surface parameter, numerical altitude model data is changed with the obtained altitude value as the new one and a stereoscopic picture expressing the geographical features after change is displayed through the use of changed numerical altitude model data. |
