PURPOSE: To surely mount an electric contact on the upper surface of a substrate even when the housing or holding member of the electric contact has a dimension error of some degree. CONSTITUTION: This electric contact is formed of a housing 1 having an arm part 15 extended along the upper surface of a substrate; a contact 2 having a body part held in the housing 1 and a lead part extended to the outside of the housing and connected to the substrate; and a holding member 3 mounted on the arm part 15 and fixed to the substrate to hold the arm part 15 on the upper surface of the substrate. The arm part 15 and the holding member 3 are allowed to relatively move at least in the vertical direction, and a deformation allowable part 23 elastically deformable at least in the vertical direction by a quantity of the moving torelance of the arm part to the holding member fixed to the substrate or more is provided between the body part and the lead part in the contact 2. |
