PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic leak detector for spindle motor which can detect magnetic leakage from a hub surely at low expense. CONSTITUTION: In the detector for detecting the leakage flux from a spindle motor being driven rotatively while holding a magnetic recording medium, a spindle motor 13 is built integrally in the base 14 of a magnetic recorder/ player. The base 14 is held in standing state by means of a holding member 21 fixed on a measuring base 3 supporting a gaussmeter 2 for detecting the leakage flux from the spindle motor 13 such that the holding member 21 can advance toward the gaussmeter 2 and can retract therefrom. |
