Novel catalyst systems consisting of organoplatinum complexes that are photoactive in the hydrosilylation cross-linking of polyorganosiloxanes Si-H and Si-Vi or Si-epoxy. Said platinum complexes have formula (I), wherein n is 1 or 2, and L is an advantageously chromophoric ligand of one of a variety of kinds. The platinum complexes have a degree of oxidation of 0 and may be used as a basis for developing light-activatable and optionally heat-activatable, stable and high performance hydrosilylation catalyst systems. Light-cross-linkable compositions containing the polyorganosiloxanes Si-H/Si-Vi or Si-epoxy, one of the catalyst systems mentioned above and optionally various other additives such as heat blockers and/or excess ligand (L) are also disclosed. Said systems are suitable for use in a silicone composition which is light-cross-linkable by hydrosilylation and useful as a non-stick coating, e.g. for paper. |
