CONSTITUTION: An integrated optical structure has a single mode waveguide 1 and a Y-shaped branch part 2, and the waveguide 1 is formed to have a lateral offset (d). Also, elements used in this structure is useful in particular when the waveguide 1 is curved, and suitable for setting a power distribution ratio. In addition, the elements can also be used for the multiplexing of wavelength, together with ion exchange elements in glass. |
