<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a rotary head-type magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus by which the jitters of a reproduced image can be reduced by a method wherein data during a software processing operation is made large and resolution can be increased. CONSTITUTION: One more cylinder-motor driving gear 9 whose gain has been lowered, a port 10 which outputs a timing signal regarding the completion of the start processing operation of the cylinder motor and switches 11a, 11b which change over two cylinder-motor driving gears 8, 9 at a time when the timing signal regarding the completion of the start processing operation of the cylinder motor is output are added to a cylinder-motor control apparatus by conventional software. Then, when the cylinder motor is started, the gain of the cylinder-motor driving gear is made large, a maximum accelerating torque is ensured, and the gain of the cylinder-motor driving gears is made small in a steady operation. In return for it, data during a software processing operation is made large, and resolution is increased. Thereby, a change in the rotational speed of the cylinder motor is reduced in a steady operation, and the jitters of a reproduced image can be reduced.</p> |
