PURPOSE: To simply, surely and electrically connect a plug connector to a gland shell of a jack connector by forming the gland shell of the jack connector in a discontinuous circular shape having an open end and a contact part. CONSTITUTION: In a jack connector 10 comprising an insulating body 12, a gland flange 14 and a gland shell 16, the gland shell 16 is formed in a discontinuous circular shape and has facing open ends 16a and contact parts 30 which are extruded outward. The contact part 30 is made of an elastic strip having three sides enclosed by cut-off parts and bent outward along the remaining one side, and formed as a projection by a press or the like. The contact part 30 is formed so as to be surely, electrically connected to the gland shell when the gland shell of a plug connector is fixed to the gland shell 16 of the jack connector 10. Since the shell 16 is formed with a highly elastic material such as stainless steel, the contact part 30 is surely and electrically connected to the gland shell of the plug connector.
