<p>PURPOSE: To provide a track ball device having no fear of unnecessarily driving a tack ball due to disturbance such as oscillation while properly securing the operability of the track ball. CONSTITUTION: The track ball device is provided with a track ball 14 formed of a light transmissive material, encoders 20, 22 for extracting vertical and horizontal rotational amounts of the ball 14 as pulse signals, an infrared ray emitted diode 26 being a light emitting element arranged oppositely to the ball 14, a phototransistor 28 being a light receiving element, ad a control circuit for controlling the movement of a cursor by the ball 14.</p> |
