PURPOSE: To automatically corrent an inference rule for guiding an optimal route in conformity with actuality only by user's instruction for correction with the inference rule of a knowledge data base being used and inference being executed by an inference execution part with respect to various conditions inputted from an input device. CONSTITUTION: This navigation system is provided with a knowledge data base 11 for memorizing an inference rule in which required time is registered for respective routes separately with respect to the discrimination information on routes, connection information between routes and at the same time, the conditions of weather, a time zone and the like. When a user operates a keyboard 12a to give an instruction to execute the inference of a starting point, the weather of a destination and a time zone by an input/output device 12, an inference executing part 13 refers to the inference rule of the data base 11 to infer an optimal route. The optimal route guided by the inference executing part 13 sent to the device 12 and displayed in a display device 12b. New route information inputted from the device 12 is stored in a route information data base 14, and when there is the instruction for rule correction from the device 12, the route information is compared with the inference rule of the data base 11 and correction is made in the correction part 15. |
