PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic head apparatus which enables preventing of damage to a glass material liable to occur in a working process while suppressing power consumption to a low value. CONSTITUTION: Metal magnetic films 21 are formed so that a value of t1/t2 is 0.50-0.91 when the thicknesses of the metal magnetic films 21 of first and second magnetic core halves 11 and 12 are represented by t1 and t2 respectively. Specifically, the value of the thickness t2 is about 6μm. As compared to this value, the thickness t1 of the metal magnetic film of the magnetic core half 11 is within an allowable range, namely, 3-5.5μm.
