<p>PURPOSE: To easily monitor the behavior of a dehydrator by detecting the change of output of a moisture meter by an operation device and judging the condition of operation of the dehydrator. CONSTITUTION: Sludge 2 dehydrated by a dehydrator 4 is in the form of sheet of a specified thickness by a roller 7a for sludge cake pressure adjustment or the like, moved on a belt 1, and drawn out by a drawing-out device 3 such as a drum and a roll and falls from the belt 1. The sludge is transported by a transporting device 1a such as a conveyor. Positive reflection from a sludge face 2a is prevented, radiation energy is measured by a moisture meter 5 arranged in the direction L1 tilted at a specified angle (about 15-45 deg.) from a normal line Lo of the face 2a of the sludge 2 before it falls from the device 3, and shown and output form an operation device 6. As a result, since the moisture meter is disposed at the position just before falling of the sheet-like sludge 2, the moisture of a high moisture area (not exceeding 50-90%) can be easily measured highly accurately and stably without inclusion of measurement of a recess and projection part of the sludge 2.</p> |
