<p>PURPOSE: To provide a process for producing color filter which has a uniform thickness and high accuracy, on which fine patterns of many colors free from differences in level and drop-outs are formed on a substrate, and which has excellent heat resistance by improving the follow up characteristic of a photosen sitive film to the substrate and the workability of lamination. CONSTITUTION: This process for producing the color filters comprises forming the multicolor patterns on a transparent substrate 4 by repeating stages including at least (1) a stage for sticking the photosensitive film consisting of a base film 1 and photosensitive resin layer 2 colored to single color in such a manner that the colored photosensitive resin layer 2 faces the substrate 4, (2) a stage for exposing these layer to a pattern form and (3) a developing stage. The process described above includes a stage for sticking the photosensitive resin layers 2' colored to the second and subsequent colors while forming spaces 5 between pixels in such a manner that these layers face the substrate 4 and applying a pressure on the colored photosensitive resin layers 2' after peeling of the base film 1 between the stages (1) and (3) and before development, thereby migrating the photosensitive resin layers 2' of the second and subsequent colors to the spaces 5 between the pixels.</p> |
