PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing electrification unevenness caused by the soiling of an electrifying member and the generation of a fogged image caused by a failure in the recovery of toner remaining on an image carrier, after a transfer is performed and a process cartridge for the image forming device. CONSTITUTION: The image forming device provided with the electrifying member 2a disposed in contact with or proximity to the image carrier 1 and electrifying its surface by an applied voltage, a latent image forming means forming an electrostatic latent image on the charged image carrier 1, a developing means 4 developing the electrostatic latent image, to form a toner image and a transfer means 5 transferring the toner image formed on the image carrier l to a transfer material 6 is provided with an electrostatic charge removing means 701 electrostatically removing the charge on the image carrier 1 or a reversely electrifying means electrifying the image carrier 1 to a polarity opposite to that of the charge of the image carrier 1. |
