PURPOSE: To prevent developer from being leaked between a developer regulating member and a developer container by forming a groove at a position where the lower end of a contact surface on a developer carrier side is not included and providing a developer leakage preventing member in the groove. CONSTITUTION: The groove having the width of 2mm and the depth of 1.5mm is formed at a part 4mm from the lower end on a developing sleeve 3 side on the contact surface between the blade attaching part 8a of the developer container 8 and a blade 4, and foaming polyurethane being the width of 2mm and the depth of 2.5mm square as a toner leakage preventing seal 12 is stuck to the developer container 8 side in the groove. By providing the toner leakage preventing seal 12 at the part which does not include the lower end of the contact surface on the developing sleeve 3 side, the contact surface between a supporting sheet plate 4a and the blade attaching part 8a does not become short in length, so that the blade 4 is prevented from being tilted by force exerted on the blade 4 even when the developing sleeve 3 is rotated while abutting on the blade 4, and the blade 4 is always fixed on the contact surface of the blade attaching part 8a. |
