PURPOSE: To eliminate the need to manages keys and prevent illegal acts by deciding the handing level of a card owner on the basis of the discrimination information recorded on the card and executing a maintenance function. CONSTITUTION: To place the maintenance function of a train ticket vending machine 2 in operation, a station employee inserts his own ID card 15 into a card input machine 11 to make the machine to read the recorded information out. Then its ID code is sent to a host device 1 through a transmission processing part 10. The host device 1 refers to the information in a data base 5 on the basis of the ID code and when the employee is in a working time band and there is information of corresponding handling authority level there, the information is sent to the side of the vending machine 2 through the transmission processing part 4. On the side of the vending machine 2, the received data are checked by the card input machine 11 and the menu matching the handling authority is read out of a menu 12b and displayed at a display part 13. Then the operator selects one maintenance function menu and a maintenance function execution part 14 performs maintenance operation. |
