PURPOSE: To execute special reproduction impartially with respect to reproduction stream data without increasing a storage capacity by providing an access table storage means and an access table management means to the server. CONSTITUTION: An access table 102 in which a relative address of each key frame used for high speed reproduction of an AV stream and its data length are described in cross reference is stored in a storage means 20. An access table management means 12 reads the stored access table to decide the data length and the address to be read from the AV stream. In the case of high speed reproduction, the access management means 12 decides the address to read the stream and a fixed length block by taking a reproduction speed and a reproduction position decided by a command and a transmission bit rate in a stream transmission means into account. Furthermore, a skip read means is used to read only required data efficiently from the access table. |
