PURPOSE: To improve the transmitting characteristic and constructing characteristic with a small size at low cost by constituting a modular plug from an aligning member and a contact member. CONSTITUTION: An aligning member 1 has a core wire aligning part 11, a cable fixture 13, and a notch 12 for operating the fixture 13. The aligning part 11 is opened, so that a core wire 5 can be pulled through the opened part when a number of core wires 5 of a cable 4 are aligned, and the core wires 5 can be easily aligned. A contact member 2 has a terminal plate 3 fixed to the inner part in the state where an insulating through internal contact part 31 and an external contact part 32 are exposed, and can be easily engaged with the member 1 by a general tool. The core wires 5 are arranged on the aligning part 11 to press a contact part 31, whereby the insulating coating is broken to electrically connect the contact part 31 to the internal conductor. The member 2 is formed by bonding a plurality of terminal plates 3 by an insulating member, and no force is added to the part other than the contact parts 31, 32 in each terminal plate 3. Thus, the bonding capacity between the terminal plates can be regulated by changing the form of the terminal plate 3. |
