PURPOSE: To repeatedly and exactly set the magnification of a sample to a preset arbitrary magnification by freely changing the position of rotation of a rotary handle by means of a clamping screw when a position detecting means issues an output. CONSTITUTION: By rotating a rotary handle 21 fixed on both sides of a rotary shaft 2 penetrated through a lens barrel 1 by a screw 20, a variable power lens is moved through a variable power cam engaged with the rotary shaft 2 and a magnification is changed continuously. A steel ball 5 pressed in the direction of the rotary shaft by a spring 4 is provided on the rotary handle 21, engaged with the fitting groove 6a of a ring 6 and stopped by click. By fastening a clamping screw 7 screwed into the lens barrel 1, its tip part presses the side surface of the ring 6 and the ring 6 is fixed on the lens barrel 1. Consequently, in order to exert clicked stop with a desired magnification, the clamping screw 7 is loosened first, after the steel ball 5 becomes the engaging condition with the fitting groove 6a, the rotary handle 21 is rotated and the rotation of the ring 6 is stopped at the position of desired magnification by the clamping screw 7. |
