PURPOSE: To provide a stereoscopic vision rigid endoscope capable of changing the stereoscopic effect of an observing visual field by changing the interval of the incident axes of light beams incident on a secondary optical system. CONSTITUTION: This endoscope is composed of an inserting part 1 on which a primary optical system 10 is arranged and an observing part 2 on which two pupil dividing mirrors 20, 21 and secondary optical systems 30a, 30b are arranged. The pupil dividing mirrors 20, 21 are arranged like a roof at the angle of±45 deg. to the optical axis of the primary optical system 10 so as to divide a light beam reached to the pupil Ep of the primary optical system 10 into two components, left and right, and reflect the respective components in the different directions. The pupil dividing mirrors 20, 21 are held so as to move parallely in the left and the right directions perpendicular to respective dividing lines 20a, 21a in the pupil Ep while holding an angle to the optical axis Ax1 constant and driven so as to separate from or approach to each other about the optical axis Ax1 by operating an adjusting means 40.
