<p>PURPOSE: To decrease changes in the electric resistance of a conductive layer even when the belt is used for a long time by adding an electron accepting material or its deriv. which can form an ionic material and/or a charge transfer complex. CONSTITUTION: This conductive belt 5 consists of a conductive layer 101 comprising a urethane foam or urethane elastomer as the matrix and an electron accepting material or its deriv. which can form an ionic material and/or a charge transfer complex added to the matrix. Further, a protective layer 102 may be formed on one surface or both surfaces of the conductive layer 101 according to the purpose. Or, the surface of the conductive belt 5 where carrying rollers 6-8 touch may be subjected to various kinds of processing such as roughening to prevent idling. The add amt. of the electron accepting material or its deriv. which can form a charge transfer complex is 0.001-20 pts.wt., preferably 0.001-1 pt.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the polymer material.</p> |
