RADIO LOCAL AREA NETWORK ADAPTOR

PURPOSE: To improve the portability of a radio local area network adaptor by connecting an antenna part which performs the mutual conversion between the IF and RF signals to a control part which performs the mutual conversion between a data signal and a spectrum spread data signal and then controls an entire part of the adaptor via an IF signal line. CONSTITUTION: An antenna part 1A converts the IF and RF signals which are inputted via an antenna 4, a filter 5 and an RF switch 6 into the RF and IF signals through the MIX 8a and 8b and transmits and receives both signals. A control part 2A converts the data signal sent from an SIO 12 into an SS (spectrum spread data signal through a QPSK modulation circuit 15, a MIX 8 and PN generation circuit 16. The SS data signal is converted into an IF signal by the next MIX 8. Then a SAW matched filter 10 and a decision circuit 11 convert the SS data signal inputted by the IF signal into a data signal and inputs it to the SIO 12. Thus both parts 1A and 2A can be connected together by an IF signal connection cable 30 so that the cost is reduced and the portability is improved for a radio local area network adaptor.
