PURPOSE: To measure the noise of the traveling motor, i.e., a brushless motor, for an inverter driven electric automobile through a simple constitution without driving through the inverter. CONSTITUTION: The stator winding of a motor 1 to be measured is connected, at the voltage induction terminals 62-64 thereof, with a three-phase resistor load 81 through a switching unit 70. Rotor 51 of the motor 1 is rotated by an external rotary driving source, i.e., an external motor 54, through a rotary shaft 55 and a torque converter 52. The waveform of a load current flowing through the resistor load 81 is equalized to the previously measured waveform of a current flowing through the stator winding 61 of the motor 1 when the motor is driven through a motor inverter (actual driving). In other words, driving conditions equivalent to actual driving are established and then the noise generated from the motor 1 is measured by means of a noise measuring apparatus 35. |
