FILM FOR MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a film for a magnetic recording medium ideal for a tape for digital video which achieves a higher elastic modulus across the width thereof and also a sufficient elastic modulus along the length thereof by applying a non-magnetic metal layer to a polyester film. CONSTITUTION: This film for a magnetic recording medium has a non-magnetic metal layer applied on at least one surface of a base film mainly comprising a polyester film. The Young modulus along the length of the film is 500Kg/mm<2> or more and the Young modulus across the width thereof 1,000Kg/mm<2> or more.
