PURPOSE: To provide a guiding apparatus for vehicle in which an accurate guiding route can be effectively obtained. CONSTITUTION: A CPU 2 function together with constituents in and out of an ECU 1, and sets a map matching point obtained by map matching a present position normally obtained by a GPS receiver 6 as the departure place of a route searching. The CPU 2 sets the latest one among the point stored in a SRAM 7 as the departure place of the route searching when its own vehicle is separated at a first distance or more from a road to be guided, and exists within a second distance. Further, the CPU 2 sets the intersections of the road to be guided in the present periphery of its own vehicle as the departure place of the route searching when its own vehicle is separated by the second distance from the road to be guided, and selects the optimum route as the guiding route from a plurality of routes to be obtained. |
