<p>PURPOSE: To remove N2 O at a high removal rate by providing on an upper part of a fluidized bed in a boiler body a nitrous oxide removal catalyst layer formed with a nitrous oxide removal catalyst for decomposing nitrous oxide in gas by making contact with burned waste gas. CONSTITUTION: Once high pressure combustion air is supplied to a pressure container 2, the inside of the container gets high pressure and air in the container 2 flows into a boiler body 1 through an air dispersion plate 3 owing to a pressure difference with the inside of the boiler body 1. A bed material is fluidized owing to the inflow air to form a fluidized bed 6 which bed is then supplied with coal from a supply pipe 4 to permit the coal to be burned at a high temperature and high pressure. Part of combustion heat in the fluidized bed 6 is collected as steam on a heat transfer pipe 9, and the steam is supplied to a steam turbine. In such a manner, the burned waste gas mediates a nitrous oxide removal catalyst layer 10 in the boiler body 1 to increase an N2 O removal rate in the gas.</p> |
