PURPOSE: To prevent states in which the high and low beams of a head lamp are simultaneously turned on from occurring consecutively by providing a high/ low simultaneous lighting region in a region where a moving element is located on a slope of a projection. CONSTITUTION: A switch main body 1 has a high-beam side recess 2a, a low-- beam side recess 2b, and a projection 5 formed halfway between the recesses. The projection 5 has a top 3 and slopes 4a, 4b leading to the recesses 2a, 2b on both sides of the top 3. A ball 6 serving as a moving element rolls beyond the projection 5 of the switch main body 1 and within the range A from the recess 2a in a high-beam position to the recess 2b in a low-beam position along the slopes 4a, 4b. A region D where ranges B, C1 overlap serves as a simultaneous lighting region where both high and low beams are turned on. Since the simultaneous lighting region D is on the slope 4a, the ball 6 does not stop in that region and therefore the states in which the beams are turned on simultaneously do not occur consecutively.
|
