<p>PURPOSE: To surely distinguish a high-temperature low-emissivity object from a high-emissivity low-temperature object so as to improve the human body detecting accuracy of a human body detecting device by taking the infrared image of the object in two states, a state where the objects are irradiated with infrared radiation and another state where the objects are not irradiated with the infrared radiation. CONSTITUTION: An extracting/control means CL3 creates a state where an infrared radiating means CL2 emits infrared radiation and another state where the means CL2 does not emit infrared radiation by controlling an infrared image pickup means CL1 and the infrared emitting means CL2. The control means CL3 inputs two pieces of infrared information which are obtained when the pickup means CL1 picks up infrared images in the above-mentioned two states and extracts infrared information in a prescribed temperature zone from the two sets of infrared information. When, for example, infrared radiation is emitted from the emitting means CL2, the images of reflected infrared radiation and infrared radiation emitted from an object itself are picked up in an overlapping state. When no infrared radiation is emitted, on the other hand, only the image of the infrared radiation emitted from the object itself is picked up. Therefore, a human body detecting means CL4 detects a human body distinguishing a high-radiation low-temperature object (human body) from among low- radiation high-temperature objects (background) based on the above-mentioned fact.</p> |
