PURPOSE: To prevent a metal with small electric resistance from oxidizing in a high temperature oxidizing atmosphere by coating paste made through mixing specified glass powder, an organic binder, and solvent on the surface of a metal wire, and drying the same. CONSTITUTION: Glass powder with softening temperature of 800 to 950 deg.C and with average particle diameter of 20μm or less, an organic binder, and solvent are mixed so that the weight ratio of the glass powder and the organic binder is 1:0.2 to 0.4, by which a paste is obtained. The paste is coated on the surface of a metal wire with small electric resistance, and is dried at a lower temperature than the decomposition temperature of the organic binder.
